Westboro Baptist Church, the extremist group that is known for picketing military funerals and other related events, has a new target: the Rev. Billy Graham. The anti-gay hate group went after the famed minister on Tuesday at BG training center then headed to Montreat, about a dozen headed to BG library in Charlotte waving signs, playing music and making statements accusing the faith leader of putting profits before preaching the gospel.
The church said Graham should use his influence to tell the world "it's not okay to be a (censor), it's not okay to divorce and remarry, it's not okay to fornicate, it's not okay to kill your babies."
So why, if Westboro and Graham are anti-gay bedfellows,Why did the Phelpsians protest Graham? Because the reverend isn't anti-gay enough. Westboro has high standards.

Westboro is a magnet to extremists, who are not mentally/emotionally balanced people in the first place. Does anyone think a healthy person would gravitate there?
People who hide behind their 'religious' beliefs to terrorize others are no better than Al Quida. These people are hate mongers, it sickens me to think they breathe the same air as do I.
The Billy Graham organization is a respectable ministry, whereas the Westboro group is misguided and disrespectful.
No they are not, both Billy and Franklin were all over the media telling people to vote their bigotry and hate into the state constitution. The willful discrimination against any group of people shows they are no different than WBC, same song, hate, just express it differently. (fewer pickets and signs)

These guys were in Hickory a couple weeks ago when we went to Hickory Alive. I just moved here so it was my first Friday night in the Union Square area (and my first time to witness men shouting for everyone to repent and with banners that had something like sinner, atheist, drunkard, gay, etc...and then a bible reference regarding going to hell). They also had a web address on their banner which is how I found all the youtube videos. Maybe they should join forces with the Phelps family...
This is like having a sparring competition in the Special Olympics.
