I am so very excited to move to Asheville by the end of October that I am trying to find out as much as I can from this very helpful forum.
Does anybody have any recommandations on farmers maybe including addresses that sell organic produce and meat directly. I heard about a great supermarket called Greenlife, but I would like to find some farmers as well.
Thank you

I am an organic farmer that sells directly to Green Life Grocery as well as to Earthfare (founded in Asheville). Asheville is a really good community that is very supportive of its local farmers, organic or otherwise. Tailgale markets abound (I don't sell at these, having concluded years ago that I'd rather enjoy some time "off" on saturday mornings rather than spend the day selling directly to the consumer. I miss the direct contact with the customer but using Carolina Organic Growers as my primary marketing channel has clearly proven itself to be the right move.

Ya' got questions, please e-mail 'em directly: johnrowland@verizon.net
