Marketing jobs in Asheville,NC? (King: real estate, broker, neighborhoods)

My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Asheville within the next year and are wondering about jobs. We have read that unless you are in the tourism, medical or restaurant industry jobs are hard to come by.
I am currently a marketing manager and my husband is a broker for a commerical real estate firm.
While I am sure he will have no problems finding a job, I am a little worried about myself. Are there a lot of marketing jobs in the area? If so, for what types of industries?
Secondly, I am also wondering if this is much of walking town, i.e. walking to restaurants, shopping, etc. Do you have to live downtown to do this or are there neighborhoods near by?

asheville is notoriously known as a "gay-friendly" area so unless you are homosexual or really tolerant of their lifestyle you will not have a chance for a job here! i am a christian and this city is very intolerant of anyone who is not one of them!!!!! the climate is wonderful and the pay is lousy but i used to live in sf and this place is simply the most anti-religious place to work in!!!!! the outlying areas (weaverville,canton,fairview,etc) that are away from the city of asheville are VERY RELIGIOUS and will not tolerate the homosexual lifestyle!!! there are no "gay-clubs" queen-queen and king-king winners on prom night and most important , THEY DO NOT ALLOW HOMOSEXUAL TOPICS THAT ARE BEING TAUGHT TO FIRST GRADERS IN THE ASHEVILLE SCHOOLS!!!!!!! think out the damage that does to the young children!!!!!!!! traditional values does not exist in asheville!!!the ex-mayor of asheville is a witch!!! also the homosexuals especially the women are very aggressive to my husband who works as an R.N. at one of the local hospitals. the mgt of the hospital will not do anything to them but do have "SEXUAL-ORIENTATION" protection for them!!!!!!!! please research this godless area before you move!!!!!! we are christians who leave people alone at our jobs and our private life but WE WILL NOT TOLERATE THEM ATTACKING OUR BELIEFS AND OUR TRADITIONAL VALUES WHEN WE ARE NOT ATTACKING THEM!!!!!!!

Dear, have you had a difficult day at work? You seem to be filled with such rage and hate. Perhaps speaking with a counselor would be of some comfort to you as you work through your issues. Are you sure you can deliver safe care to patients - you did say in another rant that you were (shudder) a RN - particularly in your current state? Or are you a troll?

"You can't get a job" if you hate gays? I don't recall ever seeing that on an application form. How about "you can't get a job if you are a ranting, raving crazy person"?
