Default Pick-your-own apples?
My husband and I are planning a trip to western NC this weekend and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good pick-your-own apple farm. Where I used to live we had several that had fall festivals, served cider, etc. and would love to find something similar in NC.

Most of the 2007 crop was wiped out last Easter by weather, but Henderson County would be your best bet.

MM34B is right...probably not a lot to pick from around here. I went over to the WNC farmers market here in Asheville last weekend and the few apples that people were selling were from PA or NY, from the sellers I spoke to.

Default Well that's a bummer
We always stop on our way home at WNC farmer's market and load up on apples. Our friends at work look forward to us coming in with a big bag of mixed apples on our first day back. Oh well, at least we should be able to get some sweet potatoes and cabbage. And there is always next year
