When we were there, we saw Baptist, Catholic, Baptist, Episcopal, Baptist, and a few Baptist churches. Good luck!

I'm in HVL. Which religion or denomination are you looking for?

Lutheran, but I'm afraid I might be out of luck...

Father John, we're coming from Baptist heaven here!

We have two Lutheran churches in Hendersonville.

Yep, but that's still remarkable considering the town's size. I think they have been in operation in HVL for close to 100 years. Back then the population was only around 2,000.

2 Lutheran Churches in one southern, mountain town! WOW! Not a dig, just surprised...hubby and I are from and area in IL where the Lutheran churches are as abundant there as the Baptist churches are in the south! Thanks for the info! I'll check them out!

I've noticed a lot of little things about Hendersonville like that over the decades. When you look at the population size, you just have to say, "Boy, that's unusual in a little town like this". I rarely have to go to Asheville for anything, especially with the Internet shopping now. The United Parcel Service even has a distribution center in Hendersonville. The closest Federal Express distribution center is in Fletcher, about 10 miles away.

mm34b - You're right...we drove into H-ville last weekend were just amazed at the amount of businesses there! And the downtown was just amazing...
