Someone recommmended that I try living out there for a few months to help me decide if it's the right decision to move there. Anyone have any ideas? I have a small dog and I've looked on vacationrentals.com and hardly any accept pets unless they are not left alone in the house. I will be visiting Asheville in a couple weeks ( again ) but want to stay longer in the spring or summer. Thanks much!

I will be moving to Asheville by the end of October, I heard the southern part of Asheville is very nice. I will be renting at an apartment complex called Seasons at Biltmore Lakes, it is very new, allows dogs and in a very nice area, the phone number is; 828-670-6613, I heard they rent guest suites also. Another one is called Imagine Management, they specialize in short term rentals for families, business travelers as well as students etc. All furnished units, not sure about the dog issue though, the number is: 866-375-0805.
Good luck

This is in Candler, correct? Did you ask if you can do more than just "look" at the lake (from across the street)? Ask that question the next time you talk to the office.
