New Year's Eve 2012 in Asheville? (Raleigh, Welcome: hotel, live in, eat)

Hi there! We live in the Raleigh area and will be in town over New Year's Eve this year and were wondering what most people do in the area for NYE?

The Grand Bohemian says they have a NYE prix fixe dinner menu but that most people eat then leave to go to other NYE venues.

My wife has never been to Asheville and it will be her birthday so just trying to find some ideas for cool things to do (or places to avoid if there are any that night)!

Last year we went to a charity event hosted by Brother Wolf and they are having it again this year. It was very good - started at 9pm and finishes at 1am. $140 per couple - heavy appetizers, all the wine and beer you can drink, local entertainment and a great disco. Sounds fun! How far is this venue from the Grand Bohemian hotel? Is this the only game in town that night?

Not far its in downtown Asheville on Broadway . Its probably not the only thing going on but it will be the most fun and its all for a great cause...The people who run Brother Wolf are pretty amazing and their functions are too
