Nantahala/Bryson City - Photo Ops? (live, trees, areas)

I am, by avocation, a "pretty girl photographer." That is, I am a hobby photographer who happens to shoot a lot of pretty girls.

I am breaking out of my normal creative box, and heading for a refresher weekend in the Nantahala area the first weekend of November. I know I am going to miss the leaves and vibrant colors, but that's okay. I want to find interesting road-side life, maybe some tucked away areas of natural beauty or interest, interesting waterfalls, as well as places where I might find some live local music - not to mention BBQ and beer.

You may not miss the beautiful fall colors. They seem to be arriving later this year. The mountains are reminding me of a beautiful patchwork quilt. Simply beautiful with all the colors intermingling. You will find plenty of photo ops in the area. Check out the falls at Deep Creek in Bryson City, Mingo Falls in Cherokee, anywhere along the Nantahala and all along 441 through The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Cades Cove offers some great opportunities for photos. I recently drove along Needmore Road and the river and colors on the trees were amazing. Actually, I don't think you have to try hard to find good shots anywhere here!
