Some may come and some may go but it seems no matter where the wife and I go it is packed. I wouldn't be in the restaurant business to save my soul, my father was, but I love the choices here. Fabulous places to feast.
It's like that in any city, especially small ones like Asheville. I live in Sarasota (about the same size as A-ville) and it's the same here. The restaurants come and go, there are only so many that the population and tourists can support.
As far as the one in the article, we ate there once a few years ago and found it expensive and nothing to rave about. Not surprised they closed with all the other good ones there opening all the time.
The restaurant business is a tough go all around. I don't even know why people do it, it's 24/7 pretty much. You have to have a real devotion to food and service.
