A silver lining - because of the rain last night, the people through the woods from us who normally fire off lots of loud firecrackers and scare the willy's out of our dog, didn't.

Hee Hee - same here. Thank god for small blessings!!!!

As for more rain . . . it's on the way. We are having a nice break right now in Watauga County. The sun actually burst forth about 10 minutes ago! Everyone is suddenly outside! I have counted 7 people walking past my house in the last 15 minutes (2 more as I write this).

However, a huge band of moisture is in the Gulf and making its way up the same path as the recent storms - straight up the Blue Ridge.

Enjoy the break from the rain while we can!

Having a nice break in Highlands today. No sunshine, but not a drop of rain today so far.
Lots of trees falling down across roads though.
