Since City-Data members are not permitted to post homes for sale or rent in the state forums, your best bet would probably be to contact a local realtor or check the local newspaper to see what's currently available in the Tryon area.

Check out the iwanna newspaper. They have loads of rentals, for sale and lots of other items for sale. You can buy it for $1.00 at stores or if you are not in the area yet you can view the ads then if you want the telephone numbers you will pay the $1.00 then plus online you can usually get three papers for $1.50. I would check these iwanna's:
