I have a rental dilemma and was hoping someone might offer a suggestion. I am relocating from Maine to Asheville, NC, at the end of September and the only affordable dog-friendly apartment rental that I could find will not be available until mid-October.

Does anyone know of any extended stay hotels in the Asheville area that are reasonably priced?

Thank you for your help!

Check out Greybeard Realty in Black Mountain. They offer vacation rentals in Montreat at reasonable prices. That's what worked for us. I think some of their rentals might allow pets as it's up to the individual property owners.

Let me know how you make out, I may be in the same predicament real soon. I know there is an extended stay hotel in A-ville. Not cheap by any means. I have a golden retriever and even in a pet friendly town it's not that easy.

Good luck!!

Hi - I'm in a similar situation and looking for a weekly arrangement for a few weeks while I take care of some unfinished business there. I don't have a dog and clean up after myself. Black Mountain is a ways out from AVL though (?)

It takes 15-20 minutes to get from Black Mountain to Asheville. It's an easy drive.

I think I found the extended stay hotel you mentioned ($54/night - not cheap, but manageable). I will keep you posted. Good luck to you as well. Goldens are great dogs.

That's over 350 a week... I want to pay 125/week.

Residence Inn by Marriott sometimes depending on the city and time of year they can have good deals. They have the kitchen and couch so it feels like ur at home :-P. If u use the kitchen it could actually be cheaper and healthier factoring food.
