Hey there. I recently accepted a job offer from Harrahs in Cherokee (Im a dealer). I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the cost of living, things to do, weather. Is there much crime?

Im moving from the Biloxi area so Im sure I am in for quite a change. I like the prospect of living in the Smokies and close to the AT.

I have only been there as a patron... but if you have any joy of the outdoors at all, you will love the area. I wish I could move up there.

I have been to Biloxi once, but the two environments are completely different.

Most city comparison calculators will not give any information on Cherokee itself, but you might try looking up Bryson City, or Maggie Valley, or Waynesville as nearby towns.

When you get there, tell them to get a Spanish 21, and 4 card poker table.

The players over there will be happy that an experienced dealer will be moving in (as long as it's for poker). From what I've heard the local talent leaves much to be desired.

You should visit first, if possible. There's a big difference than Biloxi. Cherokee is a bit confined from anywhere. If you're ok with that you'll be fine. If not then think about.
