I'll be visiting Asheville over the holidays and need a place to catch the Redskins game on the 30th. Can anyone recommend a good place in West Asheville? or is there a Redskins bar in town?
jtolk I've got the place for you. It's called The Original Steakhouse and Sports Theatre. It's in South Asheville, but definitely the place to watch the game. I'm a die-hard 'Skins fan, and I would be glad to have you over to my place, but alas I'll be watching the game from the warm environs of Fed-Ex field. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

Can I puke now? I don't hate the Redskins but everytime I see the Redskins and their 9-7 record in the playoffs it makes me sick with my Browns sitting at home at 10-6....all we had to do was beat Cinci a few weeks ago.
Come on zoo. The Redskins played in the toughest division and had the #2 toughest schedule in all of football. At Green Bay. At New England. At Minnesota. Dallas twice. Giants twice. Eagles twice. At Tampa Bay. If Cleveland played a schedule like that, do you really think they'd be 10-6? They had the benefit of two pushovers and a suspect leader in their own division, and couldn't beat one of the pushovers to get in. Regardless of record, Redskins are the better team and deserve to be in! :-)
Alright, I'll get off of my 'Skins platform now and back to WNC talk. I was actually pulling for Cleveland to get in, but fact is their defense let them down.
