I have inquired at the Biltmore website but wondered if anybody here might know if there are wheelchairs available at the Biltmore mansion? Or, is is like the Winterthur ? We would be interested in the inside tour and not so much the gardens. Thank you!!

Admission to the Biltmore is all inclusive. But they offer a reduced rate for those with disabilities. Only the first and second floor of the house will be accessible. Wheelchairs are available for inside the house. Accessibility At Biltmore | Biltmore

Just be careful if you have never pushed a wheelchair. Some of the rooms in the Biltmore have high thresholds. You should always pull a wheelchair backwards over a thresholds. If you try to push a wheelchair forward, you run the risk of up-ending the person in the wheelchair onto the floor. Don't ask how I know this........

Well, my mom in law only ended up on George Vanderbilts bathroom floor. Give her a couple of years and she tried to convince people that I tried to dump her down the stairs. She LOVED telling that story

There is a crappy elevator in the Biltmore, that supposedly is "inspected". (Yeah, like bull****.) It has no interior protective door, other than a rope. If you need help with a wheelchair, someone has to hold the button until you arrive at the correct floor.
