We have both cherry and a variety of apple trees. I buy heritage varities from ECO in Hendersonville. They do well except for bears and deer. Just lost limb off young apple, bear pulled it down to get the ripining apples. Berries do well here too, my favorite are the naturalized wine berries but a trick to beat the turkeys.
