admit I could be wrong but I would think not much different than any other day but you could check mountain express and Asheville citizen times on line for last St Patty's day and see if there was anything that might appeal to you.

I think the biggest St Patty's in the southeast is Savannah, green river and all.

think there would be all the food and beer you could drink though anytime you visit.

Yea I'm not a partier but there's really nothing more then a few fake Irish themed bar events. Unless of course you run. I used to run the st. Patty's 5k every year. Not this one though due to the whole having a baby thing. That is about it.

I know some of ya'll won't remember or weren't here but back in the mid/late 90's there used to be a street party in Asheville on Market Street right out side of Cinjades/Magnolias. That was always so much fun. I don't know when they stopped doing it though I wasn't living here by then. A few years ago Hendersonville was trying to do a street party but either a) it wasn't run well, b) it didn't draw enough of a crowd or c) all of the above. It folded after a year or two.

I have no idea of what goes on now ... I'm much older now and partying doesn't seem that important anymore.
