Default Snow

Anyone know if there is snow still on the ground around Boone? We were thinking of going up there tomorrow if there is. If so, is it spotty, or is there a bit of it?

Thanx, folks.

The ski slopes are open and have a good base. Outside the slopes, there is still a bit of snow on the ground especially at the higher elevations and in shaded areas. Look at High Country Web cams to get a good idea of what you may encounter.

We are thinking of just a day trip or maybe 1 nite to Boone next weekend, we are not skiers but would love to maybe sled ride with our 11 yr. old..
Is there a good area besides the ski hills to have fun in the snow? We have never been to the Boone area before just moved to Charlotte.
