Anyone have an idea on a set opening date for this store? The Verizon store appears to be basically open, saw employees in there yesterday. Ingles parking lot was packed this morning, maybe an employee orientation?
I'm not even sure Ingles knows. 3rd to 4th week October....but having trouble getting enough employees last I heard.

My initial guesses are finishing the installation of shelving, fixtures and equipment and the stocking of inventory. New hires would likely start at surrounding stores to get their feet wet, then transfer over to store 24 when it opens.

Store 24 should have additional members from other stores assisting with its opening. For positions specific to the store, there could be a constant need for additional members on the front end and in service departments.
Just got word from Ingle's Support that the grand opening will be October 20th.

Ingle's #24 Mark III opened yesterday at 0600 hours. The first 200 customers received a red rose, an Ingle's Pharmacy gift bag, and a coupon for a free gallon of Laura Lynn milk.
The store is identical to Ingle's #134, Hominy Village, 1572 Sand Hill Road, Candler, North Carolina 28715-0228. One notable difference is the aisles are divided on both sides of frozen food and not through frozen food.
Ingle's Pharmacy #24 has the distinction of being Ingle's 100th pharmacy.
