A quartet of pics, from today: pre-sunrise, sun peeking up over the mtns, sun on the valley of ground fog below us, and an early eve sunset rainbow.
All shot from about the same spot on our deck, here at 5,000 ft.

The weather is so variable this time of year, and the color is very muted thus far, imo. Thanks for looking!
GL, mD

Autumn colors with the Parkway in the right side of the frame.

Beautiful tree in the Oakley neighborhood, a couple of minutes from my house. I think it's a maple.

Taken from Mount Mitchell, the sun poking through during a rainstorm. I stood in the rain on the summit snapping pictures, and this was one of the better ones.

Overhead view of the Parkway from Craggy Pinnacle. The cars are parked at the Craggy Gardens visitor center.

Autumn in the Blue Ridge Mountains is quite a thing to witness!

I can only speak for myself, but I should have some up as soon as the next big snow hits! I'm upset because I missed this big storm, so I have to wait and hope that another one comes along.
