Seen enough nice mountain towns out west to know. Forget about places like Brevard or Black Mountain, which is just a gentrified “couple of blocks” extension of ultra dumpy Swannanoa. Nowhere other than WNC would it rise above the rest.[/quote]

Can you list some of the nice mountain towns out west you have seen and are recommending?

I am very curious...do you still enjoy living in that town?. People are the most important variable when relocating.
