At the same time, I would not want to be much ABOVE 3,000'. This past winter I noted on several occasions that elevations of 3,500' to 4,000' 15 to 20 miles north of us had snow while we had none.
I also noted that in the lower elevation valleys, it can actually be COLDER than at higher elevations during frequent periods when cold air sinks off the ridges.
Being in our early seventies, we have located good local doctors. Most of the tests we needed have been done in Transylvania Regional Hospital 20 minutes away. I had a procedure at Mission in Asheville - 60 minutes. It was an excuse to eat out afterwards.

Dear Simplified,
The yearly association fee in Connestee Falls is around $ 2,500 I believe.
Is it worth it and what is included?
On the other hand, the Connestee homes are among the nicest in the Brevard area and not expensive by our standards, (Northern California).
My other question is, what and how do you drive in the winter? Four-wheel drive with chains or regular car/suv with winter tires?
