We are about to choose between an advantage plan and conventional medicare plus part D and vision and dental. How well does a Humana advantage plan work using the Mission Health System? Or the UHC plan? We are trying to make up our minds as our employer insurance expires after October.

United Healthcare seems to be the most popular. Most insurance companies also handle healthcare plans, so you may want to check with a good one. There are also private insurance agents who can help you with the lines they carry. I've heard that Blue Cross may be the most expensive per month. There is BCross, Humana and United Healthcare. If there are others, I haven't heard of them. Vision and dental will be 'add ons'. Vision is included in most plans, but dental is not. Best wishes.
