Effective tomorrow you enter any public buildings in Boone you will be required to wear mask/face covering or face fines. Only exceptions are for medical, religious or behavioral problems and small children. Fines to be issued starting within 3 weeks.

It doesn't say anything about religious reasons, but it does give other exceptions. The people who are really petulant about opposing this have shown that they will find loopholes (like "behavioral problems"?) to rules like this, but it's probably better than nothing.

Toe River Health District - Yancey, Mitchell and Avery Counties, were notified today, that one more resident has tested positive for novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in each county.

Yancey County - 42 positive cases, 33 have recovered and 9 are active.

Mitchell County - 27 positive cases, 19 have recovered and 8 are active.

Avery County - 11 positive cases, 5 have recovered and 6 active.

Toe River Health District - today 6/30/20

Mitchell County - 37 positive cases, 21 have recovered and 16 are active.

Avery County - 17 positive cases, 6 have recovered and 11 active.

Yancey County - 44 positive cases, 35 have recovered and 9 are active.

The Mitchell and Yancey cases are related to the previous cases through a group activity. All of the individuals are in isolation.

Watauga 77..Ashe 54 and Alleghany 36 total cases.. observing restaurant, dog groomer and store from my porch many people(including law enforcement) still going in maskless.
