Default New Home in Mountain View

I have been fortunate enough to know a realtor (my cousin) who knows a broker who has a home for sale in Mountain View, we are renting then buying it. Mountain View is near Hickory. I suppose I will work in Hickory, I was advised by both to not live there.

Does anyone know anything about Mountain View? I know only from websites that it is a nice place with low crime and decent schools. The little towns around Hickory seem very nice and not redneck. I was there for Thanksgiving.

My friend just came from Asheboro and boy talk about redneck! lol It is just not what we are used to I guess, so geez, rednecks, don't take offense!
Thanks for any helpful answers!

Hello,
Just wanted to let you know that Mountain View is a great little town outside of Hickory.
