Question job outlook for pharmacists in Asheville?

Would like to hear about the job finding opportunities (and job satisfaction) for pharmacists in Asheville from a non-recruiters/non employers point of view. Particularly the non retail settings, but would also enjoy hearing the retail.
Relocating soon and comparing job (and living) aspects of a few different towns in the Carolinas.
Thank you

The only thing I can tell you is that the big retailers around here can't keep pharmacists and are constantly searching for more. I guess they're running them off as quickly as they get them...typical of all retail. Go to the job search engines and you'll see what I mean.

Sophiegirl - I would imagine that finding a job as a pharmacist in any location you're looking for, with your stipulations, would be relatively easy. My husband's step-dad is a pharmacist in the Greenville, NC area and can nearly dictate his working hours/days/pay. I also have a childhood friend that is a pharmacist in KY...his mom told me that they are so desperate for pharmacists that companies are willing to pay just about anything to keep them...he'd also heard of companies in the Charlotte area that were giving away BMW's as signing bonuses! Good Luck with your search, I have no doubt you'll find exactly what you're looking for.

Retirement communities are best for pharmacists and the Asheville area is becomming one, but the housing is cheaper and better outside the city and even outside the county. Try Old Fort for housing.
Public schools exploit childfree taxpayers.
