My husband loves to fish including kayak fishing. I would love to move to Hendersonville but he says their are few lakes there. We've been to Lake Lure but he was not impressed with the lake. Are their any lakes near Hendersonville?

Fishing in western NC is mostly about trout fishing in rivers and streams:

Lake Summit south of town is a popular spot. https://www.hookandbullet.com/fishin...-flat-rock-nc/ North of town in Arden is Lake Julian https://www.hookandbullet.com/fishin...oyal-pines-nc/ There's also Madonna Lake on the south side in Flat Rock. https://www.hookandbullet.com/fishin...-flat-rock-nc/

Lakes Jocassee and Keowee in SC are a little over an hour from Hendersonville. We plan to do a lot of boating/fishing there.

Excellent options too! Also if not adverse to an hour or more drive there's Lake James as well.
