Default How is Lenoir looking?

I like Hickory, but think it is starting to get too built up. I was thinking of moving further west, maybe Lenoir? How are things there? Are they starting to get built up or are they depressed still. I know that Google has something going on there, but is it helping or hurting the community? Thanks for the input!!

Oh yeah, Google is here bigtime!

News-Topic, Lenoir, NC, 28645 - news, sports, editorials, obituaries

Their plant is so highly specialized that few of the employees are from the local area. Most have been hired from outside the local area and transferred in.

I am in the job market in the area, and even the admin assistants need a BA or a BS. That's ok, I understand. Getting a job with Google is definitely a star in the cap! They can't hire just anyone, right? LOL

I hope in two or three years thay will hire locals since they can get a collage education here. That would be so nice and if not at least the economy in the area will pick up. That would bring jobs to many .
