Can anyone paint a visual picture of Arden for me? My husband will be working there and I think we have decided to move there instead of West Asheville. We have never been there and we leave in about a month. Pictures would be wonderful if anyone has some! Thanks.

Lots of quiet neighborhoods, very good schools, some industry around Heywood Road and also Bradley Branch. Strip development along Hendersonville Road (the only 4-lane road in the area). No center of town, just a broad suburban area served by the Arden Post Office (28704) near the corner of Buck Shoals Rd and Hendersonville Rd. I like it because the area is fairly convenient to Asheville and very convenient to Airport Rd, I-26 and the Asheville Airport. Asheville Transit bus #6 runs all the way down Hendersonville Rd to Airport Rd and the airport itself.

Default Arden

My impression visiting there a couple years ago was that it was just like my neighborhood here in N Va. just outside DC. Strip shopping, double-wide roads, 1/4 acre subdivisions, lots of traffic, and even a Panera's for lunch just like down the street. I could live there and not even know I had moved--Larry
