Default Realtor mentioned Clyde area......

I spoke to a realtor earlier and he suggested for us to look at the Clyde area. He said it was really beautiful and mentioned an area called Crabtree.

We were originally asking about Waynesville but he said several acres of property in the Jonathan Creek area was purchased for commerical development so he was suggesting for us to look elsewhere.

Does anyone have any information about this commerical development and whether or not Clyde would be more of a suitable area for a family with young children?

TIA

Clyde isn't far from Waynesville. There is an old Army Navy surplus store there that has been there forever.

The question is how far from down town Waynesville do you need to be? AT one point, we wanted to be within walkng distance of either downton Waynesville or Blowing Rock. Blowing Rock is way too expensive and the downtown is total tourist trap. Waynesville is bigger, more normal, etc.]
