Thanks Asheville
I just wanted to say (especially with this "not liking NC" post which is so hot right now) that I moved to Asheville last summer from southern Georgia, and I absolutely love it... this is just my experience, everyone has their own, but the people here are so friendly, the city has so much to offer, so much diversity, from conservatives to people protesting Bush in Pack square, from the family life to the "earthy" folks, from "yankees" to country folk... There is so much to do, and I love how I can be out deep in the mountains in about 15 mins whenever I want... I have finally been able to experience a real Autumn, which was great esp. on the Blue Ridge, and I can't wait to see what it looks like up here in the spring... Thanks to all the Asheville and surrounding area natives for making this a great place to live, as well as to the ones who moved here from other areas who continue to add to the diversty and PLEASANT attitudes.

Bravo, mattattack! And I feel the same way! I only live there part time, but I echo every single one of your comments. It's the most fantastic place in every way that I have ever been, and my hubby agrees and he has traveled and lived all over the world! Their slogan is "altitude affects attitude" and it seems to be so true! When hubby is there he says he just naturally feels soooo laid-back and relaxed. It is really a special place!

We agree! We love visiting there. If we were to live anywhere else, it'd be the Asheville area.
