Don't forget the beautiful new baseball park! Google Forest City Owls- a "wooden bat" league team, and great fun. And the community college, which is a wonderful resource, and performing arts center (from Doc Watson to the National Symphony Orchestra). And great weather.

We moved here 20 years ago and purchased farm house + 8 acres (we have always had a horse or two) very reasonably, about two miles from the college. We also have a piece of property in adjoining Polk county where we are considering building.

One of the reasons we located in NC was to have access to the excellent NC University system, and that worked out great.

Hi Nancy.

I think the entire town is a nice retirement community...On my street alone with have 5 ppl who still live in their homes who are in their 90's. Most ppl in their 60s-70's on our street.

Are you looking to retire to Forest City? Have you ever been here?

Email me at tkhk3746@msn.com

Thanks!

Can anyone give me some insight on the Elementary & High School in Forest City. I am planning to move there early next summer.

Any Real Estate info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
