Default Outdoor Wedding in OCT - please help

My finance and I are planning on getting married 10/18 in the hills (somewhere w/in an hour or so of Asheville would be great).

We are trying to find a good location that is very reasonably priced as we're planning on only about 20 guests.

Does anyone in the Asheville, Boone, Hendersonville, Brevard, Weaverville, Marshall, Marion, Old Fort, Lake Lure/Chimney Rock/Bat Cave area have any suggestions?

A park, or an inn, possibly an overlook or field off the BRP would be excellent.

Replies appreciated!

I would try The Swag in Waynesville. It's gorgeous!

Talk to Martha at the B&B at Ponder Cove - she hosts lovely weddings on her 91 acre B&B. It's located just outside of Mars Hill, NC

How about "Pretty Place" out near Brevard? Or the Esmerelda Inn in Bat Cave?

We just came back from a couple of days at the Switzerland Inn at Little Switzerland, N.C., near Spruce Pine. They have the most fantastic view! There's a beautiful green lawn, with that view as a backdrop. The food in the cafe was wonderful. I did note that they host weddings: Places To Have A Wedding In Western NC - Switzerland Inn
Wherever you choose, much good luck to you!

Took many a long walk with what turned out to be my future wife there. Very romantic and serene, and inexpensive. The temperatures can be all over the place in mid-late October. Here's hoping you get a nice warm afternoon!
