According to IRS data (2000-2005), the most Buncombe County halfbacks are coming from:
1. Broward
2. Palm Beach

Nothing wrong with being called a "halfback" -- after all, it sure beats "Flor-idiot"!

Oak Park?????
Hey, Asheville residents: especially South Asheville......
Any opinions on Oak Park neighborhood. We found a house we like there but it seems a little too close for my liking to 25. I'd love your input.

I had no idea that so many Floridians were moving to N.C. I never felt so trendy.I can't wait to find my new (old) house. Craigslist has a lot of homes for sale and rent. One of them is in Murphy. Does anyone know about Murphy?

Yes, Murphy is retiree mecca right now. I am from Naples and seems like all the retired people here are buying there and surrounding little towns. We looked at homes there a few years ago, but with young children, it was a little desolate for our needs. There is no major shopping close by and not a whole lot to do 'cept stare at the woods and mountains.

Drugs in Small Towns
I grew up in the 1960's /1970's in an area called Needle Park ( see Al Pacino movie circa 1971 ) in NYC. When I moved to rural New Hampshire in 1972 I was shocked to find older teenagers telling me of heroin being available in the town of 5,000. It can't be better now among kids, maybe just not much worse.

No need to be scared. The truth is always good, right??? I am staying here. Just thought people should know the truth. If you think it is cheaper to move here from FL, ,like we did, you are wrong. I mentioned great things about Asheville as well. And if people don't believe the drug problem here, call the police dept. 70% of the crime here is drug related.
Sprtslver is from Atlanta. I have no idea why anything he/she said is relevent!!!
