Default New Condos downtown...

...anyone taking bets that this thing actually goes beyond the scale model stage?

$2.1M to $2.6M for 2,300 sq/ft with a great view of I240 and Staples brick monolith as many refer to it, the 'open cut' a memorial to corrupt state politics that will forever scar the most prominent mountain to the downtown area, and no place to park their Beemer's or Benz's. I'm surprised that it made it to the scale model stage.

There are many that might be in the market for a $2.5M downtown condo in backwater NC, and there is like a very large number of people that would like to have a little 2 seater 'urban' car (though their mileage is not that much better than many Honda's or Toyota's with 4 doors). I just don't think there are but a tiny number that want both.

Way too pricey for the area and if you're dropping 2 mill you can get something much nicer. I don't think this one will happen, not in this economy. There are cheaper condo projects here that are stalling, look at Zona Lofts - nothing has happened there since late summer.
