Recommended Veternarian Asheville/Weaverville area
We are moving to the Asheville/Weaverville area shortly and are looking for recommendations for a good veternarian. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I would highly recommend the Animal Hospital of North Asheville. They are a little pricey, but well worth. They have all the modern equipment such as ultra sound - so you won't have to be referred out. The Vets are wonderful and the staff is very caring.

Allen Animal Hospital in Weaverville !!!!! He is incredible ~ and he only charges a fraction of the cost that regular animal hospitals do because he is wealthy and does what he does to help out animals and their owners.

Whole-heartedly agree. They are especially good with older animals that need special care. We started going there when our older dog needed the extra attention. I will never go anywhere else.

I agree with the above posters' praise of the North Asheville Vets, easy to get to from Weaverville, just take the regular road into Asheville instead of the freeway, and shortly after you pass Beaver Lake, you'll see the hospital on the left at the intersection. Nice big place, they can do anything there for you, expert vets.
Now, I take my dogs for 25 years to way out on the northwest side of Asheville, so you won't want to have to go that far normally, but gotta put it in for others who read this, cuz we like and trust that doc, Mountain Valley Vet on Leicester Hwy.

Thanks to everyone who posted a reply. I really appreciate the suggestions. As I have 3 dogs, I will probably try Allen Animal Hosptial first in order to keep costs down but will also definitely keep the Animal Hospital of North Asheville in mind. Tail wags from all my boys!
