Hi. I am looking for alternative classifieds for rental houses. Something that might have a house out in the country that is not listed in iwanna. Can anyone tell me of any small paper that comes in the mail and has mostly classifieds, no news? Sometimes called a "shopper". One you wouldn't find at a gas station. I am mostly interested in Madison and Buncombe counties, but also considering Haywood and Henderson. Thank you!

I am not familiar with mailers, but I do know that the Mountain Xpress has classifieds for rental houses, and they are good ads. Could be you can access those ads by going directly to their website...some paper don't have all the ads online, but it's worth a try. Also, the Asheville paper has all their ads online. Just do a search for those two papers, go to their classifieds section, and see what you can find.

Thank you, gigimac. I didn't know that some papers don't post all the classifieds online. I will pick up a Mountain Xpress today to check on that. Where we moved from, the free classifieds that came in the mail were the best place to find rural rentals, but you had to already live there to get it.
