What do you want to know about it? It was started a few years ago and the prices have dropped since then. There are some great views at the top, but a lot of the homes are very shoddily built and have been on the market for a LOOOOONG time. Is there anything else you need to know?

Default 5 Forks info

Curious why the houses have been on the market a long time. We are looking at 2 particular houses (not at the top, though will be going with
our realtor this June). I was hoping someone would tell me what type of community people live there...i.e....mostly retired? middle/upper class? ect. Are houses still being built? Thanks for responding....

Default five forks subdivision in Murphy NC

It is a very nice subdivision. Nice views of the mountains. Paved roads. Easy access to Murphy and Blairsville GA. What other specifics would you would like to know about it?

I would like to know more about Five Forks too. We looked at a couple of houses there over the weekend. Do most of the homeowners live there or rent them out or use as a vacation home? Are there many children living there?

can you handle the fact that the upper crust and the peak of culture is a place called Shoebooties?
kids hang at wal mart or sonic for lack of anything to do? Is the Eric rudolf shrine still at the dumpster behind Bi-Low? good luck!

Actually the upper crust go to Doyle's with a 4 star chef in yes, the little town of Murphy. Shoebooties has great food with no complaints from us.

Kids always have certain hang outs they go to like any town. I don't think that's all there is to do there, it's up to the parents in raising their child to also guide them into organized activities. Sure there is a lack of broadway musicals etc...depending on the kind of culture you're talking about.

There are actually a couple good restaurants around Murphy and over in hiwassee. Yes, the kids do hang at walmart, in fact adults do too. I wish they hadn't stopped the kids from cruising. My kids didn't go, but for cryin out loud, the police department was right there! Now they really have nowhere to go except for empty fields in the middle of nothing, with no supervision. However, back to Five Forks. Some of the houses are ok, some are not good quality and have odd lay outs. Find a realtor you trust, I can recommend some. But do your homework.
