Default Info on Living in Asheville Please

My husband and I are considering moving to Asheville early next year. Can anyone offer any insight into living in asheville. Nice, quiet neighborhood recommendations, what the taxes are like and overall what living in the city of asheville (not the surrounding towns) is like on a day to day/year to year basis (not as a tourist). Thank you very much.

Everyone will find something different here and since you tell us nothing about yourself only a fortune teller could even guess how you might view the area, and we all know they really can't tell fortunes. You may find it overcrowded/desolate, taxes too high/ridiculously low, night life raucous/dead, etc. etc. It all depends on the reality you are moving from, and what you are looking for.

I see you have a very similar question posted in a Florida thread. Fishing trip?

Hello. No, we're trying to decide where we would like to move...Asheville or South Florida.

You are making a false assumption that we all know this, and you are making a very broad generalization regarding fortune tellers. Based on my personal experience, I have found some fortune tellers to be quite accurrate. In fact, many of them are far more accurrate than so-called financial experts, and most of them are at least as accurrate as the weather forecasters.

tmaddow...you're likely to get as much helpful information about Asheville from a fortune teller than you'll get from some posters ( myself included ) on this forum.
