Default Asheville area RV parks

I'm what's called a workcamper at present, one of those people who live out of an RV and move around the country to where the job opportunities are, and I am looking to move to the Asheville area looking for work with my 25 ft. 5th wheel trailer and my big ol' dog.

I was hoping someone reading here might know of inexpensive RV parks in the Asheville area where Buddy and I can land and start looking for work.

It's been my experience over some time that the cheaper places are not on the web, and usually one has to actually roll into the area and ask around to find them. I'm hoping to have somewhere picked out before I hit the highway in that direction this time.

I need only 30 amp service and a place where my dog isn't going to be a problem. He's a 125 lb. giant Alaskan malamute and very sweet. Buddy is all about sharing his love with the whole world. I am looking for a park where people pretty much live full time on monthly rates.

I'd like to find an RV park where I can land for the first month there for $300 or less. Most parks that have web pages are a lot more expensive, I've seen them with rates double that.

Any pointers much appreciated

Thanky,

Amy

Another issue to consider is your age. Are you over 55? We lived in our fifth wheel (with dog) for almost a year while our house was being built but being under 55 kept us from a number of places. We ended up near Flat Rock, which is about 30 miles south of Asheville. The rate there was $275 a month, plus electric. If that's not too far from Asheville for you, you're welcome to pm me for details about the place.
