Four or five days in Western NC
Looking for advice on places to visit/stay in Western NC this coming week, 7-23 - 7-27-09. We have visited the southwest area of NC (Bryson City, Sylva, Dillsboro, Brevard, Highlands, etc. and Black Mountain, Lake Lure/Chimney Rock near Asheville and not against returning there with new options) in the fall for a couple of years. Maybe a specific place along a river, stream or lake to just kick back with a book but with some things to do near by and great places to eat. Any advice or info is greatly appreciated. We are traveling from East Tennesse and are very familiar with the Smokey Mountains and southwest NC. Thanks.
