Question Better campground: Jackrabbit Mountain near Hayesville or Cheoah Point near Robbinsville?

We just camped for 2 nights at Jackrabbit Mountain, a US Forest Service campground on Lake Chatuge near Hayesville. We loved it, and the only thing we weren't crazy about was the red mud along the shore (the lake was full, it's just the nature of the area). Our bathing suits were red when we came out.
I've never been to Cheoah Point campground on Santeetlah Lake near Robbinsville, but I'm very curious. What's it like? At Jackrabbit Mountain, some of the sites are right on the lake. You can step out of your tent and almost fall in. How close are the Cheoah sites? And one more thing - Jackrabbit Mountain has a designated swimming beach, but you can also swim right at your campsite, and nobody says anything. Is this also true at Cheoah, or are they sticklers for swimming only within the designated area? While it's true that at Jackrabbit the beach is the best for swimming and other areas can be difficult to enjoy (steep bank and/or red mud), I do like the freedom to choose.
Thanks!
