Default Relo black mountain

We are still on our relo search..how is the Black Mountain area in general, crime, costs, people? We are really looking for a mountain view, newer or updated house, log or funky contemporary 1800 sq. st. or less, under $200,000..3/2. We are in NE PA now and the winters are just a lil too much for me. Just want milder temps, with privacy in the mountains, is that not too much to ask for...haha. I was also looking at green homes, but forget it for under 200,000. I would love it for someone to come up with an affordable (under $200,000) green home in the country, not a .19 acre in the middle of town where you can look into your neighbors window. Did see some green homes in a community setting but again they are just too close to each other for me. The ultimate would be 1 acre, but from what I have seen forget it, dont want a fixer upper. A nice mountain area with dense forest so it blocks the neighbors, not that I dont like neighbors, just not that close, we currently have 1 acre in a un gated community and it works!
