WNC Internet Provider?
Moving to the Leicester area and am looking for an internet provider. When I search online I can seem to find much of an answer regarding who the local providers are. Can anyone give me some insight into who provides internet services with reasonable prices? Thanks a bunch in advance.

I believe Charter Communications is the high-speed cable Internet provider for Buncombe County.

I know for sure that it is Charter in North Asheville, Merrimon Ave. area. I think BellSouth is a DSL carrier that way, but not positive.
Find out who your phone service will be through and you should be able to check if they provide broadband Internet.

I have Bellsouth DSL 6.0 and love it! It is much better than the Time Warner I had in Charlotte.

Charter (the cable company) is available in Leicester, though they are rather high for what you get unless you bundle your internet, phone, and tv with them. I personally don't want internet phone. None of the high speed connections I've ever had have been reliable enough to be willing to use it for phone service.

I believe Henderson County (at least around Hendersnville/Flat Rock) has Mediacom Cable. In more outlying areas I was told AT&T DSL was there or "in the works".
I have Mediacom here (Iowa) and in general their service has been very good.
