What I have learned from this thread is that some people are so indespicably rude that they would type names such as "Floridiots" in what should be a friendly forum.

The Floridiots have very rightfully earned their name. It should be YankeeFloridiots which = came from New England to Florida and ruined it, and now moving on to NC!

Obviously you had more keystrokes to waste.
Whether you are offended or not is very much your own problem. But, if you feel better fluttering from forum to forum, taking exception to things and trying to get in the last word, more power to you. You can get your jollies any way your heart desires.
But I say again, if you are looking for sympathy of trying to create remorse here, you are wasting your time.

Hey, I'm a Floridian (native). Only 2 or 3 people mentioned the term "Floridiot" (and to be fair), 1 of them lives in Raleigh - which is like 4 or 5 hours away from Asheville. The other poster is a FL native (like me) and was joking around. In fact, more than not, the posters here said positive things about Floridians, whether they be native or "half-back." It's not about where you are from but how you act. Nice NY'ers in FL are treated accordingly, and the mean and bitter ones are treated otherwise. It's all about how you treat people and wanna be treated.
I'm a FL native, as are some of our family that lives in WNC, and I can tell you that they fit in just fine. But remember, the "Floridians" (probably 75% are half-backs) that moved to NC because it's cheaper and are now changing NC - the VERY SAME WAY they did FL - are not gonna get much sympathy, just as they didn't by FL natives while in FL. I probably could have worded that last sentence better, but I think you know what I'm getting at.
