My grandmother lives in Leslie County
Take Highway 58 in Abington VA to Highway 91 near Damascus (thats where the popular Virginia Creeper Trail
Take 91 to Mountain City then take 421 to Boone

It only about an hour and half from Abington to Boone.
Its 3.5 from Harlan KY to Boone
You could take 421 all the way out but 421 gets real curvy pass Gate city
I dont know if your coming from southern or northern eastern Kentucky but that is best route from Abington
Mountain city and Damascus are cute little towns in the valleys have your camera ready and be prepare for mountain fog
