Yeah, with a population of less than 10K, what would one expect to find? Warning: Neiman Marcus has no plans to open a store in Waynesville or anywhere else in the Mountain Region.

Yea, it is amazing that I've made it 6 plus decades and have never set foot in a Neiman Marcus or similar store. And dang, I can't think of a single thing that is missing in my life as a consequence.

And if you are interested in moving to one of the towns in the region, you must do your due diligence and know these things before you commit to a place. If high-end, big-box shopping is a priority, there are better places to live -- no dispute there. Just like you wouldn't come to South Florida for peace, quiet, cool summer weather and a low cost of living.

Default Muffin tops

Well, the other thing, that I neglected to mention, was the lack of entertainment in the Waynesville area....
I got my absolute best laughs over at the WalMart....YES!!!! The WalMart????

I'd sit out there in our vehicle, while my wife went shopping, & I'd watch all these young girls go by....YOU KNOW THE KIND!!!!

20 years old....5'6", 225#'s, waring low-rider jeans, short mid-rife top, with their bellies exposed, and hanging over their belts....
To see them waddle by, with their jeans full of cellulite, was an absolute terror!!!!
I'd point them out to my wife.....she called them ""MUFFIN TOPS""

You know....where the cup-cake hangs over the tin!!!!

WELCOME TO WAYNESVILLE....FRIENDS!!!!!

This is called making fun of people, not entertainment As far I'm concerned there is a LOT there to keep me entertained, just driving on the Parkway and watching the sun go down at Waterrock Knob is enough for me, but that's why I want to move there for the simple things in life.

IMHO, you are just a wishfull tourist....pretenting what you would do "IF" you lived here....
You can't spend your life, driving on the Parkway....some areas are closed during off-season....
Sooooo!!! Telling people what to do is particularly offensive """IF"" you don't live here!!!!
|||||||||This is called making fun of people, not entertainment ||||||||

AND MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE IS HALF THE FUN OF LIVING HERE!!!!!

Yah gotta see some of the local yocals to believe!!!!! LOL!!!!

I'm sure I will fiind all kinds of things to do such as hiking, gardening, biking. . . close enough to Asheville if you need a bigger city. The downtown is quaint and inviting. If your main interest is shopping at a mall then no Waynesvile isn't the place. Different strokes. . .

However you must be very bored if you find making fun of people while sitting in a Walmart parking lot a form of entertainment.

Well!!!! You could go down to the triangle park, in downtown Asheville, and look at all the bums, looking for handouts....Rub elbows with them, 'if' you get the message....
THAT'S ALWAYS FUN!!!! To see how the other half live [the tourists]....so to speak....
They're all kinda 'quaint & entertaining', with their tatoos, and rafsafarian hair do's....

>>>""""TRUST ME.....WATCHING PEOPLE IS ||| NEVER ||| BORING"""<<<<
