SHHH - we don't want too many people to know about Marshall!! In 5-10 years Marshall will be a tourist destination - but on a small scale. There are art galleries, a really great coffeehouse/meeting place - Zuma Coffee. There is a book store opening soon - the Courthouse is a lovely centerpiece for the town which sits on the French Broad River but there are currently no restaurants or a boutique hotel in town - but I think it will come. We just purchased 15 acres on the side of a mountain 15 minutes outside of Marshall - we can't wait to build our dream cottage and live there full time - If you need a place to stay go to
