I have lived here in Derby, KS for less than one year, and decided to enroll my twin daughters in Rose Hill High School rather than nearby Derby based on school size. My daughters are what is called "twice-exceptional" with gifted and talented abilities and autistic limits as well. However, they have deteriorated in many ways due to bullying and lack of adult support. I am wondering if I should enroll them in online school or transfer them to Derby High School. We moved from Colorado where they attended a top notch Senior High and did well, receiving services for both their special ed needs and their high intellectual abilities. This indicates to me that they are capable of excelling in an environment that cares for ALL of its students, and not just the athletes. Please share if you have any experience, positive or negative, with Derby HS or any surrounding schools in the area.

Thank you very much!
