Avoid Kansas, and Wichita in paticular. The town is dying, we have lost Boeing, and its an open secret that some of the other employers in the air industry are thinking of going. Its also known that now that Boeing is leaving they will not service Airforce one at McConnal AFB and its on the short list to close. Its a dying area. If you must come do not buy a home you will lose money.

Prehaps if we get a Republican president this time Boeing will come back and KS as well with many more government contracts. Kansas is strongly Republican and presidents tend to pay back those who elect them and punish those who worked against them.

Ah the irony of government spending dependency for defense contracts. Yes, everyone knows that Kansas is a net receiver state that gets back more in federal dollars than it actually pays out.

OK, people put down the Wal-Mart at Pawnee and Broadway, and that might not be entirely unjustified, but I don't like the attitude of the store employees at the 53rd North and Meridian Wal-Mart---some of the greeters and cashiers need to get new attitudes, or new jobs!
